Chargers Emerge with Winning Record after a Full Day in Boston

On December 1, 2018, the Chargers traveled to Boston, Massachusetts for a series of three games. The Chargers faced the Baystate Falcons, Boston Brakers and Northeast Passage Power Cats in a very full and busy day.

The Chargers began by facing off against the Falcons and jumped ahead to an early lead that they never surrendered. Controlling most of the play for most of the game, the Chargers finished off a 3-1 victory.

Second, the Chargers had to square off with the always dangerous Brakers. Boston jumped ahead to a very quick 2-0 lead, but the Chargers refused to quit and kept fighting the entire game. The final score ended up at 5-2, but our team showed that they could step up and contend with a powerful opponent.

Finally, Vermont met up with the Power Cats for the second time this season, and although the end result was a little bit closer than the last time, the Chargers still came out with a 2-0 victory to wrap up a winning record for the day.

Special thanks goes out to Boston for hosting. It was a great event!

Facing Stiff Competition in Durham, Chargers Rally to Capture the Third Contest of the Day

On November 17, 2018, the Vermont Chargers traveled to Durham, New Hampshire to compete in a series of three games. The first two games pit the Chargers against the Northeast Passage Wildcats while the final game saw the Chargers square off with the Northeast Passage Power Cats.

The first game began auspiciously for the Chargers as they were able to hold the powerful Wildcats to only one goal in the first half and were soon after able to answer and tie the game early in the second half. Unfortunately, the Wildcats found their stride and finished off a 7-1 victory.

The second game saw the Wildcats spread out their goals over both halves, but the results were quite similar as they defeated the Chargers 7-0.

Refusing to crumble, Vermont fought back in the final game, settled down and finish off the day with a 4-0 victory over the Power Cats.

We want to thank Northeast Passage for hosting us for a fun day of power soccer. We will hit the road on December 1 as we go to Roxbury, Massachusetts for the 7th Annual Boston Brakers Tournament!
